HYBRID

ELEVATING SELF-CHARGING HYBRIDS. The ES 300h EX and ES 300h SE only use 4.6 litres of petrol per 100km, and produce absolutely no emissions in Electric Vehicle mode. The advanced hybrid system uses breakthrough self-charging technology for maximum efficiency. Thanks to this highly effective regenerative braking system, kinetic energy usually lost during braking is instead converted to electricity and sent back to the battery. Total system output is 160kW and torque is rated at 221Nm.

HYBRID TECHNOLOGY ON ANOTHER LEVEL

The masterful hybrid system provides excellent efficiency and an exhilarating drive, with nearly 70% fewer smog-forming emissions produced by the ES hybrid technology compared to other engines. Both ES 300h grades have a Lexus-first Hybrid Acoustics silencer that provides noise absorption and insulation for quietness, while its compact, lightweight nickel-hydrogen battery system under the rear seat allows for sufficient luggage space.

DESIGN

The improvements to the new ES will only impress with the adoption of geometric square bezels within the headlamp cluster for a more structured and formal appearance. The new luxury medium sedan can be further distinguished by a redesigned trademark Lexus ‘spindle’ grille incorporating an L-shaped mesh pattern that emphasises lateral flow, as well as redesigned 17- or 18-inch wheels.
